Trail reports are good to better than good.  This is reciprocal weekend!  Check it out

Thurs. 1/26/17

January 25, 2017 at 10:32pm

GREAT NEWS – DVSJ Trails are “good out there”.  Two of our board members reported they rode Wed. afternoon from the groomer barn north and found trails good to the Hathway Trail.  They headed north to Sommerset Dam and Woodford’s 7N.  They found DVSJ  trails to be very good!!  Some water bars were encountered along the way.

DVSJ Trails are opened.  This ‘noreaster’ storm brought 6+ inches of snow and groomers went north.  South and west trails not yet done

WED. 1/18/17 Not enough snow

January 18, 2017 at 10:58am

The Deerfield Valley area received 4-6 inches of wet snow Tues-Wed., with another 1 inch expected.  Our groomers are out checking the trails now and doubt they can even be track packed because of the wet snow just  rolling up!.

Stay tuned for any updates.

Thurs. – Jan. 12, 2017: Trails are closed

January 12, 2017 at 5:10pm

The upcoming Friday the 13th is not a lucky day!!!

Deerfield Valley has received warming temps and rain for the past 2 days.  With the trails in already minimal condition and the next two days the return of colder temperatures without snow!!!!  – this means ICE.  We need a significant amount of snow for the trails to reopen.  The weather for the next 5 days is not promising  :o(

Saturday 1/7/17 – Thanks for the Trail Work

January 7, 2017 at 10:25pm

Huge thank you and shout out to the board members and volunteers who worked on cleaning up the trails.  After the club meeting they went out to work on all the debris from icy trees – cut and removed over 12 trees. The trails remain hard packed and very icy with bare spots, and some huge water bars.  Ride with caution as we wait for more snow!!

The trail report will be updated when conditions change.

Friday 1/6/17 – Warm temps and rain!!

Trails are opened but riding isn’t the best.

Hoping for more snow!
